Microsoft showcased more functionality of the futuristic HoloLens – their augmented reality headset which is scheduled to be released later this year.

Following up their jaw-dropping demo of Minecraft on the platform, they now chose to demonstrate how the HoloLens could find a wide variety of practical use; perhaps in the most interesting area of its application – education.

In another spectacular demo video, the HoloLens is shown how it could be potentially used in a classroom. The students are seen learning about the human anatomy via an interface that looks like it came out of Star Trek.
